This island is packed with tourists who book this island for weeks and months at a time. There is a community of expats from Canada that make up probably 20% of the island long-term population. The colony in the center of the island is where most of the natives live approximately 22,000 people not counting tourists. The South point going to punta Sur is nothing but high end vacation homes that rent from $300 a night to $8,000 a night. Rock stars own houses here. So there is a lot of long-term vacationers. People are getting tired of the rat race on the mainland.

The s is not silent in Isla. It is pronounced "eeesss-la" Isla translates to Island in Spanish.

We have been travelling and kids do not really stop you from travelling. Having famiy suports matters. Travel when it happens is really a small part of your lifetime. Yes, expereince is exceptional. I have met so many people travelling the world and their kids did not stop them. Same way kids are not a reaon to neglect your life. People really need better argument why they are not travelling.
